[Prerequisites]:

• Have the following prefs in the "about:config" page:
  • "browser.search.region" set to "US"
  • "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.discoverystream.config" set to "{"api_key_pref":"extensions.pocket.oAuthConsumerKey","collapsible":true,"enabled":true,"show_spocs":true,"hardcoded_layout":false,"personalized":false,"layout_endpoint":"https://getpocket.cdn.mozilla.net/v3/newtab/layout?version=1&consumer_key=$apiKey&layout_variant=direct-response-control"}"

[Steps to reproduce]:

1. Open the browser with the profile from prerequisites and open a new tab.
2. Observe if there are any SPOCS displayed in the "Recommended by Pocket" section.

[Expected result]:

• Four SPOCS are displayed.

[Actual result]:

• There are no SPOCS displayed at all.

[Notes]:

• This issue is reproducible with all the experiment's braches (you can find them here).
• This issue is still reproducible after browser restart.
• Attached a screen recording of the issue.

Updating Acceptance Criteria to reflect that we have one SPOC with CTA enabled for this test, rather than 4.

[Steps to reproduce]:

Open the browser with the profile from prerequisites and open a new tab.
Observe if one SPOC is displayed in the "Recommended by Pocket" section.

[Expected result]:

One SPOCS is displayed.

I have verified that this issue is no longer reproducible with the latest Firefox Nightly (71.0a1 Build ID - 20191003214801) and latest Firefox Beta (70.0b11 Build ID - 20190930132843) installed, on Windows 10 x64, Arch Linux and Mac 10.14.5. Now, I can confirm that a SPOC is displayed on each of the experiment's branches.

Considering the above I am closing this issue.
