Similar to Bug 1586094.
Noticed that when using a dark OS theme on my Firefox install that the inner border (inside of the identity block and near the tracking protection icon), continues to appear when the lock is hovered over or active, looking sloppy.
Steps to reproduce:
- Use dark GTK theme, like Yaru-dark or Adwaita-dark, or macOS dark mode on Mojave
- Navigate to any web page, eg: google.com
- hover over/click on the lock icon
What happens:
The border that is used to separate the tracking protection icon from the lock icon is not hidden or combined with the new background color upon hover/click, making the visual appearance look messy.
Expected result:
The border should disappear or be combined with the new background color that is used when clicked or hovered. This is how Edge on macOS does this, for example.

Eric, is the border supposed to disappear on hover?
Nope, this is as designed. Thanks!

Please take another look at this, and especially at Edge for macOS which manages to look a lot better here. The line that is shown just looks sloppy.
