[Affected Platforms]:

  • All Windows
  • All Mac
  • All Linux

[Affected Versions]:

  • Firefox Nightly 71.0a1, Build ID 20191006214844

[Prerequisites]:

  • Have access to the delivery console.
  • Have an active addon-rollout recipe.
  • Have a profile that can be targeted by the addon-rollout recipe.

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Open the browser with the profile from prerequisites.
  2. Navigate to about:addons and observe the page.

[Expected result]:

  • The rolled out addon is not displayed.

[Actual result]:

  • The rolled out addon is displayed on the page.

[Notes]:

  • Rolled out addons should use the same property that addon experiments have, in which they are hidden on the about:addons page.
  • I have attached a screenshot of the issue:

Just like with Normandy's add-on studies, add-ons that are rolled out through this service will be marked as hidden so that they don't appear in about:studies. This is a property of the XPI file, not of the install process. This might change when we full replace Balrog and start installing rollout add-ons in the features extension directory. I think in general this is not a bug.
