1586892 - PgUp/PgDn/Home/End keys don't work after using search

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a web page.
2. Use cmd+f shortcut to search the page
3. Hit Esc to remove the search bar
4. Use PgUp/PgDn/Home/End

I'm on: Firefox Nightly 71.0a1 (2019-09-30) (64-bit), OSX Mojave - 10.14.6 (18G103).

Actual results:

PgUp/PgDn/Home/End keys no longer have any effect after step 3. Clicking on the page and then trying again does not help either. Only a page refresh seems to help.

Expected results:

PgUp/PgDn/Home/End keys should work.

Thanks for submitting this bug to us. I've tried to reproduce it using Firefox Nightly 71.0a1 (2019-10-11 - 64-bit) and Firefox (69.0.3 - 64-bit) on macOS Mojave 10.14 and wasn't able to reproduce it.

Does this issue occur with a fresh profile? You can find the steps here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager

Can you please download Firefox Nightly from here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/ and retest the problem and see if the issue still occurs there as well?

If after doing this you can still reproduce the bug, could you send me a screenshot or a video of the bug? That always helps a lot.

Hi Sebastian,

I just upgraded to 71.0a1 (2019-10-11) (64-bit) (I was previously on 2019-09-30) and the problem no longer occurs.
