- TB 70.0b3 (64-bit)
This appears to be a regresssion introduced with 70.0b3 since the issue did not exhibit with 70.0b2.
Attachment to an ingresses message remains attached after been detached, also apparent from the popup when trying to detach again.

What makes you think it's still attached? The only recent changes make an external attachment linkified to display the file location where it was detached to, in status bar.
The meta data 'attachment' structure has always stayed within a message for detached/deleted attachments. There may be requests to remove even that in another rfe bug, but it's been there since the beginning.

Oops, thanks, Alta88, I should have looked more thoroughly at the picture, sorry :-(
Forwarding a message where the attchement been detached previosuly also attaches the previously detached attachment, which is unexpected and confusing, and cumbersome mail workflow in the way of having to remove the attachment from the message that to be forwarded.
Detaching is thus not removing the attachment from the mail workflow but changing the storage location.
I see now that the detached attachment is getting only strike through in the message pane when deleted from linkified storage location, hence not a regression indeed.
I'm sure for every person who doesn't want a detached attachment forwarded, there is another who does want that workflow. So it's an entirely different bug, if it doesn't already exist, to describe this properly and find an ergonomic solution.
