Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020721 BuildID: 2002072104 Chatzilla is dead on my install of Mozilla. It's not that it doesn't open, it's that it doesn't work. I hit control-3, and, while the window opens, none of the links work, nor does the /server command work (after waiting for 15 minutes on one connection, I can state this with some certainty), and if I type irc://, I get "irc is not a registered protocol". What's the problem here, and how do I go about fixing it? Thanks Luc "Chatmaster" French Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Either: 1. Open Chatzilla. OR 2. Type irc:// into the URL bar. (Should open Chatzilla)
Did you install chatzilla in some funky way? I sounds like chatzilla-service.js wasn't registered. Try running regxpcom, it should be in the same directory as the mozilla executable. Make sure you have write access to the install when you run this.
How did you install mozilla? Was it over top of a previous install?
Robert: Didn't work. Samual: Yes. I've been running Mozilla since M19 on this same computer. OTOH, one of the first things I tried was uninstalling Mozilla and reinstalling. Thanks Luc "Bugger" French
Well, I've got Chatzilla working again. Samual Sieb, thank you for pointing me in the right direction. (I had to completely delete my Mozilla folder to get Chatzilla working again.) Thanks Luc "Buggerall" French
Good to hear.
