Details

Applies at least do JSON and HTML previews.

This should:

a) simplify the interface
b) avoid the cost for codemirror and rendering the preview (helping with bugs like bug 1503980 or recent reports on large JSON)

If a user manually opens it, it should be remembered for the session (right now it isn't remembered at all).

Severity: normal → S3

With bug 1651649, bug 1693147 and bug 1555647 fixed, I think this no longer valid.
