I think this was fixed by bug 1590594. Nicolas, do you think this was the underlying issue?

Happy to close it or leave it open if you think there is another bug here...

I don't think I had skip pausing on so I'm unsure this is related. But I'm fine closing this issue, I can always re-open it if I experience this again.
