Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; MindSpring Internet
Services)
BuildID: 2002053012

When I enter any URL, or even when I click on the Mozilla Home Page icon, there
is nothing on the screen even after several minutes. The status bar has one of
several messages, including: "Document Done", or "Tranferring data from
[URL]". In rare cases, some of the page does appear, but then the load appears
to stall, and my network monitor shows occasional short bursts of incoming data.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Mozilla
2.Enter a URL, or select a bookmark (imported from Netscape), or click on the
Mozilla Home Page icon.
3.Wait.

Actual Results: No Web page or, occasionally, partial page.

Expected Results: Complete Web page.

After the installation of Mozilla, when the program opened automatically, the
mouse pointer indicated that there was something going on in the background
(hourglass next to the mouse pointer). After waiting a minute or so, I closed
Mozilla and reopened it. The hourglass did not reappear.

Ran mozilla -profilemanager, created new profile. It then displayed
a "Start Mozilla" window. It connected to the Internet, apparently tried to go
to the Mozilla Home page but failed with the usual symptoms.

Yes, Zone Alarm Pro (latest update). It allows Mozilla to connect to
the Internet. ZA's Security level is set to "High", which prevents file
sharing and hides the PC from most probes. That setting has not caused
problems with Internet Explorer, RealPlayer or Media Player.
Does it work if you disable ZA ?
Mozilla use 2 internal TCP/IP loopback connections which will be possible
blocked from ZA.

I'm sorry but I'm not willing to disable Zone Alarm Pro, because of the danger
of intrusion. If Mozilla cannot operate with Zone Alarm fully enabled, I'll
have to regretfully do without it.
We can't find the problem if you want to disable ZA or give Mozilla all rights.

this bug is now invalid since you as tester (we have only binary builds for testing)

duping against the loopback bug.

BTW: ZA is not very secure...
