158883 - Middle click single tab closes tabbed browsing when pref says otherwise

When you have a lone tab open and middle click it, it stops tabbed browsing.  If
you go to the prefs, this isn't reflected in the "Hide."  If you then check
"Hide" hit ok, then uncheck "hide" and his OK, the tab comes back.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Edit/Prefs/Tabbed Browsing and Uncheck the "Hide" box
2. Go to a web page (make sure only one tab's open)
3. Middle click the tab.
4. Go to Edit/Prefs/Tabbed Browsing and check the hide box.
5. Hit OK
6. Go to Edit/Prefs/Tabbed Browsing and uncheck the hide box.
7. Hit OK

Actual Results:  After 3 - Tab closes
After 7 - Tab is back

Expected Results:  I either expected the tab to never close, or the preference
to change as a result.

I would prefer that the last tab not close ever, like it did in 1.1 alpha.

Hmm..   intended behavior is seems.   

There appears to be a pref to turn off this behavior "browser.tabs.forceHide"
referenced in bug 150099.
