Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020722
BuildID: 2002072203

When accessing sites that specify a port number in their URLs (e.g.,
www.macnn.com:80), if you don't type in the protocol part of the URL (i.e.,
http://) into the URL bar, Mozilla returns the error:

www.macnn.com is not a registered protocol.

This worked properly in Mozilla 1.0.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
In the URL bar, type www.macnn.com:80 (or any other site:port combo) WITHOUT
preceding it by "http://".

Actual Results: The specified error message pops up.

Expected Results: Mozilla should assume http://. Maybe this isn't the best
solution, but 9 times out of 10, I would imagine users would be trying to use
http:// unless they explicitly choose another protocol to use. Mozilla 1.0
worked as expected in this regard.
