The documentation of NSS shared libraries are scattered in the NSS 3.2 and NSS 3.4 release notes: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/release_notes_32.html#migration http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/nss-3.4/nss-3.4-release-notes.html#changes It's not easy to find. We should consolidate the info in a tech note and make it easy to find from the NSS main page.
Introduction to Network Security Services makes reference to nothing later than 3.2 *perhaps I'll take this on as my "Hello!" to moz_docs* http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/intro.html
