Steps to reproduce:
Opening firefox, all the plugins and addons are off/disabled.
Indicating some keywords for google to search
Try to use Tools and then try to specifify another interval of time, it works only for pictures not for normal search nore videos...
Same for country/languages/... and durations/qualities/...
Actual results:
The drop box didn't populate... only in "images" section
Expected results:
The drop box must populate in every single "mode" normal/images/videos
Work for me, https://www.google.be/, Fx68.0 and Fx70.0 in Win10 1903.

Hi,
I have tested your issue on latest FF release 70.0, Beta 71 and latest Nightly build 72.0a1 (2019-10-22) and could not reproduce it using Ubuntu 18.04 and Windows 10.
If the issue is still reproducible on your end, can you please retest this using latest FF release and latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8), maybe even safe mode (https://goo.gl/AR5o9d), to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause.

I updated ff but the highest version available on the LEAP 15.1 repos is 68.1.0esr.

It works ok with the "private window mode" my settings are:

(yes) use hardware acceleration when available (reproduced even if unchecked) content process limit 8
(no) autoscrolling
(no) smooth scrolling
(no) always use...
(no) search for text...
(no) recommend extension...
(no) recommend feature...
no proxy for firefox to connect to the internet
