User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/77.0.3865.120 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

I have a version of firefox 69.0.1 in Windows 10 x64 bit machine. Then i download the latest version From the below link and install it using command line argument " -ms -ma"
https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/69.0.3/win64/en-US/Firefox Setup 69.0.3.exe

Actual results:

The Firefox updated successfully but can't open the firefox application. It seems like the application is dead. Once i reboot the machine the application works fine without issue.

Expected results:

The firefox should works fine after updated without reboot.

Group: firefox-core-security

I can't reproduce this issue, I successfully opened Firefox on Windows 10 x64 after an update from 60.0.1 to 60.0.3 using the " -ms -ma" line argument (without any OS update involved).

Kuttima, the behavior that you are describing, it's a one-time situation? Could you try to update to Firefox 70, using the same line argument and post back the results?

Thanks!
