RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1461214

People

(Reporter: hello, Assigned: miker)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.14; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Firefox in Private Mode
  2. Go to any website that stores any cookies on your device out of the box (e.g. gmail.com)
  3. Go to Web Developer > Storage Inspector
4a. In the inspector right-click any site node with cookies and click "Delete all" or "Delete all session cookies".
4b. For any node, left-click any cookie to mark it, then right-click it and choose any of the options with "Delete..." in it.

I verified this on 3 separate sites and 3 different devices, all running MF 69. I also compared this behaviour with that of Google Chrome. I don't allow any extensions running in the Private Mode so they shouldn't have interfered.

Actual results:

Nothing happened, all the cookies are still there. They have not been removed, nor have they been removed and quickly re-added by the site. When I tried this logged into my Gmail account, the app started behaving as if I deleted some of the cookies, but visibly all of them were still there.

Expected results:

Relevant cookies should have been removed.
