In Grafana, i..e https://earthangel-b40313e5.influxcloud.net/, if I try to create a panel for any Cloudfront metrics, it doesn't seem to work.

It looks like grafana is unable to pull any Cloudwatch metrics even if we configure it with the correct source and distribution id and etc.. We don't know why this is happening.

This actually works, it's just not intuitive. You have to

  1. Change the region to us-east-1
  2. Specify both the DistributionId and Region dimensions in your query
