Steps to reproduce:

I turned on automatic macOS theme change and if when I turn off my computer with the dark mode and turn it back on at the beginning of the day the light mode will be activated but not on Firefox

Actual results:

dark mode

light mode

Thanks for the details. I was able to reproduce the bug on MacOS Catalina (10.15) on the following versions:

Release 70.0 (64-bit), Beta 71.0b2  (64-bit) and Nightly 72.0a1 (2019-10-28) (64-bit).

I've chosen a component. If you consider that there's another component that's more proper for this case you may change it.
