Hello, We're really sorry to hear that you have experienced this issue. Would you mind answering a couple of questions for us, so we can troubleshoot? Thanks in advance!

Did you reset your Firefox Account password when you signed in?
Do you see any logs in about:sync-log? If so, could you please upload the most recent one as an attachment?
How many other devices (other desktops and laptops, Android, and iOS) do you have connected to your account? Can you see your passwords on them?

No

I will answer this question on Monday. This happened on my work PC and it's Friday evening for me now.

How many other devices (other desktops and laptops, Android, and iOS) do you have connected to your account? Can you see your passwords on them?

Windows PC and Android phone. I can see passwords on both of them

I suspect this is the same as bug 1377100. You can almost certainly get the passwords back on this device by using about:config to reset the preference services.sync.passwords.lastSync, which should cause the next sync to re-grab them from the server.

Worked for me. Thank you!

Had the same problem. Losing and having to recover many password is a PIA. Was about te create a bug report, and found this one.
Re-sync recovered my passwords.

The same issue happened to me. Yesterday, my Firefox account icon has a question mark. Then I clicked it and it asked me to re-login. I did and found all my password lost.

I am using Firefox 72.0.2 on openSUSE Tumbleweed.

Sorry you are having this issue - that also sounds exactly like bug 1377100 - see comment 3 for a work-around.
