What problem would this feature solve?
This is about accessibility and readability, also about saving battery. It hurts eyes of many user to stairs at #fff.
Here, at bugzilla.mozilla.org, you already use https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/@media/prefers-color-scheme - please implement the same for MDN.

How do you know that the users identified above have this problem?
Personal experience, and we see that many sites and apps have dark theme.
How are the users identified above solving this problem now?
Use browser extensions and custom CSS - but this is burn CPU.
Do you have any suggestions for solving the problem? Please explain in detail.
