I can not reproduce the problem on Fx71b4 on Win10.

Could you give more steps? Like the URL, Firefox version.

This just happened within the last week's v72 nightly on Windows 7. Last Monday's was good so I don't know when the change was made.

An example is the Google logo just above the search box from https://www.google.com/. Go into a private window, then block that in the Media tab and refresh. There is no change although in normal mode it will be removed.

STR:
Open firefox, and enter to private browsing.
Open the https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/describecomponents.cgi, and then open Page Info window from context menu.
Go to Media panel, find and check the Block images from bugzilla.mozilla.org.
Reload the above page, it works fine if the images (icons) is no longer displayed.

I suspect bug 1422056.

Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Component: Untriaged → Page Info Window
Ever confirmed: true
Regressed by: 1422056
Summary: Blocking images in private window → Blocking images option no longer work in private browsing

Seems like a regression from that bug, though I'm not sure why it would happen. Anyway, we are planning to remove native image blocking support very soon (bug 1357107), so depending on the level of effort this is probably not worth fixing at this point.

Component: Page Info Window → Permission Manager
