+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1525426 +++
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:64.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/64.0
Steps to reproduce:
Opened Thunderbird, pressed Alt+V, T, M
Actual results:
Displayed View menu - Toolbars, Layout, Folders, Today Pane, Calendar, etc.
Expected results:
Should have progressed to 'Toolbars' submenu, then toggled 'Menu Bar'. In Firefox, this does toggle the 'Menu Bar' and I thought it previously worked in Thunderbird.
The reason it does not work is because there are two submenus in the View menu that have been allocated the letter 'T' - 'Toolbars' and 'Today Pane'.
Surely within any one menu, shortcut keys should be unique?
Worse still is the Tools menu, where 'O' is allocated to three submenus: 'Add-on Options', 'Join Chat' and 'Options' - almost pointless having shortcut keys!
Similarly, in the Edit menu 'C' is allocated twice and in the Message menu, 'A', 'I' and 'W' are allocated twice.

Also main menu Message (Alt+M) doesn't work anymore when you have New event in a tab, because then Alt+M takes you to Reminder: ...
Main menu Help (Alt+H) doesn't work, because Alt+H opens the Attachments pane...
