On pages where the password manager automatically fills in user name and
password information, the password manager will wait until all of the images
are loaded, and if the images never finish loading, then the name/password
fields will never be filled.

Of course, you can work around this by going to
"Preferences > Privacy & Security > Images" and turning off automatic
image loading, then turn it back on after the form fields are filled, but
it should just do the right thing.
