Details

Affected versions

  • Firefox Nightly 72.0a1 (2019-10-30)

Affected platforms

  • macOS 10.14
  • Windows 10 x64
  • Ubuntu 18.04 x64

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch Firefox.
  2. Go to about:preferences#privacy and from Custom section un-check all items expect for "Fingerprinters".
  3. Go to https://www.nfl.com/
  4. Scroll down to "What's trending" section and observe the videos.

Expected result

  • "Sign Up" section should be displayed.

Actual result

Fingerprinters Blocked

  • cdn.doubleverify.com
  • pixel.mathtag.com

It looks like this is the result of AB testing. I sometimes see the live previews and sometimes don't (after clearing my profile and revisiting). The previews don't seem to depend on whether fingerprinting scripts are blocked.
