User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0
Steps to reproduce:
set to offline
-
copy message from inbox to local folder
-
decide to copy message back to inbox.
-
decide to copy back to local folder - is only done after switching back to online
-
switch to local folder: email is gone
-
repair local folder: email comes back to visibility
(all by drag and drop)
Actual results:
1,2 can be done while offline.
3 is only done after switching back to online
1 can display message text
2 looses email body and requests to re-download (not downloaded from server message)
Expected results:
email body should not be lost when copying back to inbox
email should not be lost from message list when copying to local folder the second time

This didn't happen in version 60?
no, it is in my version for updating addons to 68. Currently, it is 68.1.1

Yes, I understand you are reporting this against version 68. What I am asking is, do you confirm this /did not/ happen in version 60?
60.9.0 is ok. In offline, I can move the message as often as I like (well, I did it 3 times) and it moves without being online and never looses the body

Offline stuff has always been flaky, surely this bug is a duplicated. Nothing has changed in a while in offline/online processing, at least not that I'd know.

No, I can't reproduce this one: all looks fine to me. I do have all emails downloaded locally though, perhaps that makes a difference?
One slight oddity is that the folder pane message count is wrong in the local folder, after going back online. But the messages are visible.
I'll have a look at the other one in a mo.

klaus, does this still reproduce for you?
I tested part of this in 142. This happens, and is wrong:
move msg from inbox (imap) into a subfolder of local folders. Succeeds, gone in inbox, appears in local folder
move same msg from local folder back into inbox. Success: msg appears in inbox, fail: msg also stays in local folders
repair the local folder, the msg disappears
maybe this is a different issue? The old bug text is not quite clear whether it used copy or move.
To test step 3 and following does not make sense, because the msg stayed in the local folder.
