User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:70.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/70.0

Steps to reproduce:

Drag and dropping a tab to bookmarks toolbar (inside a folder) received a Facebook notification while doing so, released mouse while it was still showing (i think)

Actual results:

UI Errors. See picture.
The pointer for bookmark placement within the folder is still there.
Bookmark wasn't created.
First tab created after crashed, then loaded normally.
Can no longer close tabs with middle mouse, or the X.
Tab navigation works normally.

Repeating the bookmark creation via tab dragging restore normal function of everything.

Hi,

I have tested your issue on latest FF release 70.0, Beta 71 and latest Nightly build 72.0a1 (2019-11-07) and could not reproduce it.

If the issue is still reproducible on your end, can you please retest this using latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8), maybe even safe mode (https://goo.gl/AR5o9d), to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause.

Thanks for the report.

I'll give it a go. How do I generate notifications?

Flags: needinfo?(thirteen_squared)

I don't think you can generate notifications without someone make an action to involve that notifications like tag you, like your photos or posts, friends requests, reminders, etc..

Sorry I didn't get a email about your reply. I should of thought of that myself though...

I was able to reproduce with nightly (fresh install) 72.0a1 (2019-11-13) (64-bit) and beta 71.0b9 (64-bit) single addon pushbullet installed to receive notifications.

Steps to reproduce 100% effective nightly safe mode 72.0a1 (2019-11-13) (64-bit)

  1. Open up some tabs
  2. Go here https://www.bennish.net/web-notifications.html send yourself notification in 5s
  3. Grab a tab and drag it along the bar back and forth
  4. UI will freeze when notification received
  5. Tab will be stuck in place, RHS menu buttons will not function, right clicking that area gives you windows explorer menu instead.
  6. Open a new tab, you cannot close it.
  7. Reorder a tab you have control off to fix.

If that doesn't do it It must be something I having running on my end

Thanks
