From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0.0; Desktop/LX Amethyst) Gecko/00200205 BuildID: If i use multiple SMTP account, mail delivering doesn't work anymore. In the same time, a new empty field appears in SMTP advanced configuration. I MUST delete all but one to send things. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a new STMP entry (or a NEWS Server configuration) 2.Go back to compose a new mail and try to send 3.

I am experiencing same bug, except when editing Outgoing Server advanced properties, the SMTP servers actually show properly. When choosing an SMTP server for a _specific account_, the lines are blank and only option to use default is allowed. I am using: Mozilla 1.3a Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212 I HAVE rounded this down to using an @ in the outgoing username. If I change the @ to a . then all is displayed fine (but I obviously can't send email). In case it helps, all my servers use full email address for SMTP auth, I have 2 POP accounts, and multiple IMAP accounts. I'd like each to authenticate as themselves, even if they are on the same mail server. I believe this will be easily reproduceable and fixable. When I return home after work I will take 2 screenshots and combine into one image to better show my explanation.

I'm experiencing same problem as Jesse Cablek in comment #4. The drop-down list for selecting smtp server in account advanced setting contains empty lines for smtp servers whoses account name contains @. Problem have been around a long time, and exists in 1.4a too.

Does the problem still remain? I believe this problem is already WORKSFORME, although already created invalid SMTP entry should probably be deleted manually. (fixed by some other bugs or coding changes at else where)

(Addion to comment #6) Problem of "Duplicate SMTP entry on account definition" is already resolved by Bug 90507, although already created duplicated SMTP entries should be consolidated manually. See Bug 144643 comment #16 and read next FAQ, then try manual recovery from empty/duplicated SMTP entries. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Multiple_SMTP_Servers I think this FAQ is one of the best description on "multiple SMTP use". Sorry but I don't know which bug resolved "empty SMTP server entry" problem.

There were no responses to this bug post the questions in 2005. I've been using multiple SMTP servers for development and on my main machine for a while and not had any problems. Therefore marking as WFM. If folks are still having problems with the latest versions of Thunderbird or SeaMonkey please feel free to reopen - but please also give full steps to repeat.
