Brief Description of the request (required):

Looking for consultation on adding new probes to understand usage of private browsing on iOS. The questions I'd like to answer with this tracking are:

  • How popular are private tabs? (% of users view private tab within timeframe)
  • Do users view private tabs & regular tabs, or is it usually just one or the other?
  • What percent of tabs are private?
  • How does private tab usage affect retention? Session lengths?

Business purpose for this request (required):

  • Understand how valuable private browsing is to our users
  • Estimate the impact that changes to private browsing could make

Requested timelines for the request or how this fits into roadmaps or critical decisions (required):

Would like to add the probe before Dec 2
