Details
For Internet users who are using Mozilla who do not have a Gnutella client,
Mozilla should output a similar error in return:
MAGNET: Not supported
You need a Gnutella client to launch this type of URI.
A Gnutella client can be obtained from the following portal:
Zeropaid <http://www.zeropaid.com/>
Gnutella:// Not supported
You need a Gnutella client to launch this type of URI.
A Gnutella client can be obtained from the following portal:
Zeropaid <http://www.zeropaid.com/>
Why does Mozilla need this? Gnutella URI's (MAGNET and Gnutella://) are
becomming more and more popular now on websites, and users are going to be
clueless once they are given a "Syntax Error" message. This would be much more
user firendly, and informative. Though I do recommend revamping the error
message itself, I just came up with it on the fly :P It should include more
information of what Gnutella is, what a MAGNET or Gnutella:// type URI is, and
where to obtain a client to parse these types of URI's and download the file
they desire.
I currently know of no other Browswer which has any type of Gnutella support.

and AOL is used by millions of people worldwide, so mozilla
should ask the user to get an AOL account when it encounters
aol://blah ?
besides, it's a system issue, not a browser issue.
