For Internet users who are using Mozilla who do not have a Gnutella client, Mozilla should output a similar error in return: MAGNET: Not supported You need a Gnutella client to launch this type of URI. A Gnutella client can be obtained from the following portal: Zeropaid <http://www.zeropaid.com/> Gnutella:// Not supported You need a Gnutella client to launch this type of URI. A Gnutella client can be obtained from the following portal: Zeropaid <http://www.zeropaid.com/> Why does Mozilla need this? Gnutella URI's (MAGNET and Gnutella://) are becomming more and more popular now on websites, and users are going to be clueless once they are given a "Syntax Error" message. This would be much more user firendly, and informative. Though I do recommend revamping the error message itself, I just came up with it on the fly :P It should include more information of what Gnutella is, what a MAGNET or Gnutella:// type URI is, and where to obtain a client to parse these types of URI's and download the file they desire. I currently know of no other Browswer which has any type of Gnutella support.
Are these two peotocol schemes actually properly registered?
