Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:70.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/70.0

Steps to reproduce:

open https://whatismyipaddress.com/
shows home IP address and location
make NordVPN connection to US location
refresh page showing new IP address/location
disconnect NordVPN connection
refresh page

Actual results:

page never loads/hangs
close firefox, firefox never shuts down/hangs.
after waiting a few minutes, start firefox, get crash report.
after firefox is restarted, can connect again to https://whatismyipaddress.com/
shows home IP and location.

Expected results:

after closing a vpn connection, firefox should go back to a normal connection without crashing or restarting
tested above repro steps with Google Chrome browser: had no problems connecting after closing a VPN connection. was able to close/open vpn connection multiple times with no loss of connectivity or hanging.

After testing with a clean profile, the problem went away.
Could be one of my add-ons causing this.
I'll try disabling them one at a time to find which one is causing it. I suspect it might be the Cisco Webex extension.

Update: I removed the Cisco Webex extension and the problem went away.
