Try deleting mozregistry.dat in your c:\windows directory and delete the user50 directory that the previous Mozilla had created.
oops...bug reported on MozillaZine.ORG ...still needs a better fix tho (other than deleting the .dat file)

I'm assuming that deleting the mozregistry.dat and/or user directory resolved this. This looks like something caused by a change in the registry code that should not be an issue once that settles down. resolving worksforme.
