- verify it's there
- download the same file, confirming you want to replace it
- verify it's there

expected:
- new file is there

actual:
- old and new files are both gone

Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
Confirmed with 07-26 build.  This happens with both ftp and http downloads. 
This bug does not happen when saving html pages using File|Save As.
Maybe related to bug 159792?
No, it's bug 156250. I'll check it in tomorrow. Sorry, I lost sight of that one.
