07-26 build on OS 10.1.5. 1. Go to a page that plays QuickTime movies, e.g. http://www.apple.com/trailers/newline/austin_powers_secrets.html. 2. Click inside the QuickTime window to play the movie. Expected behavior: Movie plays in the full QuickTime window size. Actual behavior: Movie plays in a smaller area within the QuickTime window.
Winnie, does this happen in Mozilla?
The current behavior is the correct and expected behavior. Clicking on the "Play Movie" image loads a different QuickTime movie, dependent on your Connection Speed as set in the QuickTime system prefs. If set to 56k, a small sized movie will be loaded. If set to T1, a movie the same size the plug-in's frame will be loaded. There is, however, one difference that makes this behavior more conspicuous in Chimera than in IE. In Chimera, the area within the plug-in's frame that is not covered by the movie is filled with the pin-striped controlColor. In IE, the web page's background (whatever it may be) shows through instead.
Thanks, Ben. You're right. Changing the connection speed in my QT prefs did change the size of the QT movie frame. Marking as invalid. Ben, could you file a new bug for the background color issue?
