As I know the term "roadmap", it means the top level future timeline. I'd include some information like on http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/milestones/index.html (but reorganized).
There certainly needs to be a new roadmap but I certainly think that the time for that is after the initial release. The current roadmap should let new people know what's being worked towards in the next release. XUL is yet to appear in a final release, and when it does, it will be ho hum and time to move on.
I'd be happy to do a post-5 roadmap "in my own opinion". Perhaps it would be a good idea to have more than one, from differing opinions? I think it would be a nice touch to have one from someone who doesn't get paid by Netscape.
I'm about to update roadmap on its first birthday, but feel free to write up a post-5.0 roadmap -- I'll host it and any other guest roadmaps that clueful people such as you submit. /be
Hey Brendan, this bug had silence for 3/4 of a year now, that's long enough. Could you overhaul the roadmap page? I don't necessarily need new information, but shouldn't the old outdated stuff be replaced or removed? It mentions stuff like removing nglayout.mk and such, which might have been resolved before I dropped into mozilla ;-) Axel
I'll do some cleanup soon. /be
Doing better now. I'll update roadmap-faq.html soon (tomorrow, I hope). Resolving this REMIND. /be
changing target milestone to null. it doesn't make sense to use m milestones for this component. I'm deleting them.
reopening and moving to future. I recommend that this bug be marked FIXED or something, since basically it can never be marked FIXED since it's a reminder...
What was wrong with leaving this RESOLVED: REMIND? Oh well. /be
brendan: REMIND is deprecated and will go away at some point. Speak to Asa. :-)
Roadmap is updated much more often now. VRFY.
re #6: bug 68780 / roadmap fax is still empty reopen this and dupe ?
