We have decent documentation for the contents of the stub installer ping in the source tree docs, but the full installer ping uses a different schema and needs its own docs. There's a public spreadsheet which describes the fields in the ping, but it's hard to find and there really should be something integrated into our other docs.

Also, when we do this, it's probably worth adjusting the installer_type options in the public spreadsheet to make it clear what is/is not sent. (Ie, it looks like we're not sending integers 0,1,2 as the sheet describes, but instead only full as a string value (and I'm guessing empty string for the others?).....
