Default is set to first email address in my list of accounts every time I restart computer - I have to reset the default email account

Steps to reproduce:
Every time I start Thunderbird, it assumes the first email address in my list of accounts is the default email address. I go in to the Tools Accounts area and choose the correct email address and set to 'default', but when I start my PC again the next day, the default has gone back to the first email address in my list of accounts.
Actual results:
default email address keeps reverting
Expected results:
default email address should stay as the one I chose and 'set as default'

But if you don't restart the PC and only restart Thunderbird, then you don't see this problem?
Hi Wayne. Sorry, I should have given better details. It also happens if I just close down tbird and re-open. I normally leave it running in the background all day, which is why I mistakenly said upon reboot pc. It is as if my profile change hasn't been actually stored in my profile.

I hope you mean version 68.
Are you still seeing this in more recent updates?
Hi Wayne. No, it was the latest version of the older Thunderbird. I was allowing it to do it's own updates. Last week I downloaded v68 manually and installed. The problem has now gone away. Sorry - I should have posted here.
