Details

Whenever I open the browser and click and slide my bookmarks, it crashes. I put
an extra long profile name at startup, maybe that changed something. However,
this is highly reproduceble, every time in fact.

The long profile name makes me think you have on old registry. Try deleting it,

~/.mozilla/registry

and rerunning. The format changed several weeks back. Maybe you have the old
format.
