We are enabling fingerprinting blocking in the Standard mode of 72. We will revisit this decision based on the results of Bug 1588543, and may revert the change during the beta cycle for 72.

Sounds like something we should mention in the release notes for 72 (assuming it does ship). Can you provide some wording? (And set the "relnote-firefox" flag to "?" on this bug to nominate it.)

Thanks! We've confirmed that this will ship in Firefox 72.
Release Note Request (optional, but appreciated)
[Why is this notable]: Has the potential to cause site breakage. Of interest to privacy conscious users.
[Affects Firefox for Android]: No
[Suggested wording]: "Firefox 72 now blocks domains known to serve fingerprinting scripts as part of Enhanced Tracking Protection."
[Links (documentation, blog post, etc)]: None yet, but we expect to have some documentation released before 72 is released.
