In Android browsers such as the Samsung Browser the top status bar is hidden in landscape mode, allow much more space to view content while browsing. This is a good feature for all mobile browsers and would be great to see an option on Firefox to support this.

To clarify, this request is referring to the Android status (which shows system notifications etc.). Firefox should allow an option to hide it in landscape mode only. In portrait mode the status bar does not take up as much space.

This is a great suggestion, but at this point we will consider it only for Firefox Preview (Fenix). If you have not already, take a peek at Firefox Preview and if this suggestions is appropriate for that product, please don't hesitate to file also at https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix
