firefox doesn't update display on i3wm

Steps to reproduce:

  1. using i3wm on Fedora Linux
  2. download and install Firefox via dnf
  3. scroll up and down very quickly

the same happens with Firefox downloaded from the website

Actual results:

the display sometimes freezes for a few seconds or more randomaly. that might happen while typing , scrolling , watching a video or anything else.

Expected results:

immediate response to the input, instead of delayed display update
