Steps to reproduce:

I have been running two email accounts from Thunderbird for more than a year. One is POP3 and the other is IMAP gmail. The POP3 one works well like before but the gmail account fails to log in to gmail and repeatedly fails and asks for the password again and again.

Actual results:

Repeated failure to log into gmail under normal password setting and over the phone setting.

Expected results:

It should have logged in like before. I made no changes. The last Thunderbird update was 8 November 2019. I suspect it might relate to that.

Gmail working fine over here, and I don't think we have other reports of this.
