Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:72.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/72.0

Steps to reproduce:

  • I have multiple account container and profiles
  • I'm using multiple devices
  • I'm using tabs in Work PC and sometimes want to share to personal PC
  • Or access favorites of Work profile from home at personal computer

I need way to cross share sync between minimun of two accounts.

Actual results:

I want to share a tab to my personal browser.
Of from personal browser at home to browser in Company.

Something like multiple sync account at same time.

Expected results:

Implement support of multiple profiles of Sync at same time, but with segmentation of accounts individually, for identify the origin.

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, but sync and Firefox are both built in such a way that this is effectively impossible - we can't even make this work for devices in the same account (eg, it's currently impossible to discover which device caused a bit of your old history to appear). There's also be a whole range of security-related issues that would almost certainly bring this suggestion down too.

There's no real value in keeping this bug around so I'm going to close it, but I appreciate the fact you took the time to write up this suggestion.
