Steps to reproduce:
I built a Firefox Addon to replace the new tab with a photo & quote (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/asr_dashboard/). The addon properly loads a image & quote in the newtab. The newtab is generated using the manifest file.
Actual results:
However, when a new tab is opened, the URL Bar is populated with the following: "moz-extension://cb4d4f88-6e85-4f44-9898-7dc7ca6708c7/index.html#/"
Expected results:
Instead the URL Bar should be blank and focused to allow the user to type in a new URL as needed. I saw a bug report from 2 years ago (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1372996) stating that this was fixed, but it is not fixed for me.

- Tabliss has the address bar blank and not selected.
- Custom New Tab Page has the address bar blank and selected.
- New Tab Override has the address bar initially blank, then replaced by the target link, not selected.
Thank you for sharing these. They work fine on my Firefox browser with the address bar blank. Looks like this is an issue with my implementation (I am using Angular 1.X, which may have issues with Firefox), not with Firefox itself. Bug closed.
