Details
I have a web page with a form on it that uses 'mailto' to send form field data to its destination. (<form method="post" action="mailto:recipient@url.com" enctype="text/plain">) The mechanism works with Explorer/Outlook Express, but Mozilla simply pops up the mail window with a blank message body. This means Mozilla users would be unable to submit the form data to the recipient.

Alan: what build of mozilla are you using? the code for mailto: form submission was only checked in a week or so ago (bug 61893), so if you're not using 1.1beta or something more recent, what you describe is to be expected. if you're using a new build, then can you provide a URL or testfile which isn't working for you?

Alan emailed me: > I'm using 1.1a (20020612). [...] > > I'll get the latest version when the ftp site reappears - currently > 'unreachable'! resolving as WFM - mailto: forms weren't supported until after 1.1a. the latest version should work ok.
