Steps to reproduce:
Some tasks might require to disable certain addons.
One would usually go to the menu -> addons and click the deactivate button on the addon and then continue the work.
Actual results:
One might forget to re-enable the addon.
One also has to take an extra step to re-enable the addon every time afterwards which costs valuable time.
Expected results:
I want some extra options.
"Disable for 20 seconds"
"Disable for 5 minutes"
"Disable for 1 hour"

Not sure we would accept such a patch. But this is also core code, so it depends on what they decide to do with bug 1600234
