Steps to reproduce:
- The dark theme in the application must be enabled and the application must be forced to stop.
- Open Pocket.
Actual results:
A white splash screen is displayed.
Expected results:
A black splash screen is displayed.
This is very unpleasant for the eyes when you use the application at night or in a dark room.

Thanks very much for the bug report! We have some followup questions for you so we can find a way to reproduce this issue and get it fixed.
To start, could you please share what device you're using, what version of Pocket you have installed, and what version of Android OS it's running?
Dark splash screens are only supported on Android 10, and due to Android limitations, splash screen themes are determined by the system theme rather than the app theme. Therefore, knowing what version you're on would be a bit help. Thanks in advance!
OnePlus 3, Pocket v. 7.12.0.0, Android 9.
Most of the applications that I use (1Password, AdGuard, AnkiDroid, Anydesk, Google Calculator, Google Calendar, Discord, Evernote, Solid Explorer, Spark, Todoist, Yandex.Maps) with the dark splash screen theme turned on in dark color. Therefore, this can be fixed.

Thank you for sharing these additional details.
To close the loop, we've decided to treat this as a feature enhancement, not a bug. At this time, we support the Android 10 theme functionality, and supporting theme detection on Android 9 would be an additional effort.
