This is an enhancement request. It would be a nice feature to have a UI component (akin to the online/offline and security images) that flags a page as being non-conformant and that indicates that this page is rendering in "quirks" mode. This would be very useful to HTML publishers and would provide them with an added incentive to make their pages compliant (since their users would see that alert.) This could be extended to flagging of pages with non-standard tags (either Netscape or IE ones) and other fun uses. Optimally, the user could click on this icon to see a short blurb of why this page has been flagged / is being rendered in "quirks" mode.
