Details

Running Firefox from inside a dmg is known to cause various problems. Since OSX 10.12 it also causes the application to be run under app translocation where on every startup the app appears to run from a random install location and so we assign it a new profile on every startup.

If we can offer to install the app then that would be great but we should at least do something to warn the user in this case so they know to take action to resolve the issue.
