Escape Key Doesn't Exit Full Screen

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0
Steps to reproduce:
macOS 10.15.1 on MBP 13" 2019 with touch bar
When Firefox is full screen, pressing the escape key (on the touch bar) does not exit full screen. It will exit full screen of a video playing, but not exit the browser's full screen to place it on the desktop.
Actual results:
Window remains open, no changes at all
Expected results:
Window should have exited full screen and moved to desktop

I think that this issue is invalid. it does not seem intended to exit full-screen mode with the ESC key and it appears that all apple devices and browsers work the same. Furthermore, the hotkey to enter and exit full-screen mode is CONTROL+COMMAND+F. Where did you get this information from?
