User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1b) Gecko/20020721
BuildID: 2002072104
On some pages - particulary on large slashdot pages or yahoo mail the bottom of
the page is cut off.
If I look at the html source it looks like it has been truncated at a random place.
This may have started when I installed Netscape 6 but it has continued when I
uninstalled netscape and mozilla and reinstalled mozilla.
Pages load fine in ie6.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to slashdot home page
2.Click on a story
3.If no bug, try the next one.

As I understand it, the page is not really cut off, but rather is a gray chunk
added to the bottom. This has to do with the site navigation bar coming on and
off. Slashdot uses such navigation elements (next, index, authors and so on,
defined in the header).
There is another instance when this behavior appears, namely if you change the
style sheet on the fly. You can see this on my homepage at
http://homepage.mac.com/nikd/dvd/almost_famous/ if you click the bottom buttons.
This will change the style sheet, and if the viewport is shrunk, there will be
some extra dull stuff added to the bottom.
Another problem with navigation bars is if you have a plugin fairly high up on
the page and right-click a link into a new tab containing such a navigation bar.
When collapsing the tab, the navigation bar is also collapsed, and residues of
the plugin are shown above the actual canvas. This can be seen at
http://homepage.mac.com/nikd/ (the xeyes Quicktime implementation will leave
ghost trails after returning from a tab).
The navigation bar was left out of Mozilla 1.0, and I believe work is going on
in 1.1b.
