User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Apply any built-in tag to a message
- Open Message in Preview-Pane or fully in a new tab
Actual results:
Applied tags are not visible within the Reader UI (Preview Pane/Tab).
Expected results:
In Thunderbird 60, applied message tags would both color the text shown in the folder view; as well as within the "Preview Pane" or within a separate tab. While technically not in the header, the tag would appear within the whitespace between the Header data, and the message body of the reader.
In Thunderbird 68, however, applying a tag will add the whitespace back to the message; however, the tag itself is not displayed within the message.
I've noticed this to occur both with the built-in themes, as well as my preferred theme (an extension, monterail-full-dark).
Attached is an example of the behavior.

Do you use the Conversations add-on? The default multimessage view doesn't look like on your screenshot and the tags are shown here.

Oh, yes I do.
Disabling Conversations does add the "applied tags" line to the header (shown here). While I guess that does mean I need to let the author know; was there a major change in 68 that would have broken that functionality with Conversations?

Yes, there was a change on the tags. It's best you inform the extension author.
